Full Time | Part Time Considered (Minimum 3 Days) | Temp to Perm Opportunity

Teaching Personnel are excited to be recruiting on behalf of a new purpose-built independent school supporting young people aged 8–16 with Autism, Emotional Based School Avoidance (EBSA) and associated mental health needs, including developmental trauma.

The school delivers a therapeutic, multi-disciplinary approach that combines education, therapy and family support to help learners re-engage with education. Facilities include specialist classrooms, sensory integration spaces, therapy rooms, a workshop, polytunnel and Forest School provision.

We are seeking a qualified English Teacher who is passionate about supporting vulnerable young people and can also confidently deliver a second subject when required. This is a full teaching role, including planning, preparation and marking, with dedicated PPA time provided.

The successful candidate will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Be confident delivering engaging, well-planned and structured lessons
• Have high expectations and aspirations for all learners
• Be adaptable, flexible and able to respond to individual student needs
• Enjoy working with students who may struggle to engage with education
• Work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Be comfortable teaching within small classes, often with a 1:3 staff-to-student ratio
• Build positive, respectful relationships with pupils and colleagues

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
