Job Title: Secondary School English Teacher

Job Description:
Teaching Personnel is seeking a passionate and dedicated Secondary School English Teacher to join a reputable school in Folkestone. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire students and foster a love of English literature and language across KS3 and KS4. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, tracking student progress, and supporting their academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver dynamic and creative English lessons.
  • Assess, monitor, and record student progress.
  • Support students to achieve their full potential in GCSE English.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff to create a positive learning environment.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Attend parent evenings and contribute to the school’s extracurricular activities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE in Secondary English.
  • Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4 levels.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • A genuine passion for teaching and student success.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
