Job description

A forward-thinking secondary school in Bournemouth is seeking to appoint a passionate and committed Teacher of English to join their department from Easter 2026.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 for suitably experienced teachers. The school is proud of its supportive English department, strong leadership team and a shared commitment to raising standards and fostering a love of literature and language.

This role would suit an enthusiastic teacher who can inspire students of all abilities, plan creative and well-structured lessons, and contribute positively to the wider life of the school. Both ECTs and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply, as the school offers excellent mentoring and professional development opportunities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
