Job description

Teaching Personnel are in partnership with a mainstream secondary school in Birmingham (B36).

The supportive and inclusive learning environment prides itself on their teamwork and work ethic, ensuring students learning, wellbeing and safety are at the centre of everything they do. 

They are seeking to employ a qualified English teacher on a full time basis, commencing in September.

 

Hours: Full Time, term time only

Rate of Pay: To Scale (MPS/UPS)

Location: Birmingham , B36

 

Person Specification:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

- Bachelors degree in English

- Recent experience teaching English in a UK secondary school

- Strong behaviour management skills

- Competent knowledge of the national curriculum for English

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Plan and deliver a range of English lessons, in line with the national curriculum

- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, keeping all children on task

- Provide additional support & tailored lessons to help individuals with special educational needs

- Assess pupil's learning and progress on a regular basis, providing them with insightful feedback

- Collaborate with colleagues within the department 

-Create a warm, positive and inclusive learning environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
