English Teacher – Secondary Schools
September Start | Bath & Surrounding Areas | ECTs Welcome
We are currently recruiting English Teachers to work in a range of secondary schools across the Bath area, starting in September. These roles are available on both a short‑term and long‑term basis through a leading teaching agency, offering flexibility and variety.
This is an ideal opportunity for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to secure their first role or gain experience across different school settings.
The Role:
- Delivering engaging and high‑quality English lessons across KS3–KS5
- Planning and marking where required (for long‑term placements)
- Following school curriculum and schemes of work
- Managing classroom behaviour and creating a positive learning environment
- Supporting students to achieve their full potential in English
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or pending QTS (ECTs encouraged to apply)
- Experience teaching English in secondary schools (placements included)
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- A passionate and enthusiastic approach to teaching English
- A flexible and professional attitude

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
