Position: Teacher of English

Location: Accrington, Lancashire

Start date: Monday 8th January 2024

Contract type: Full-time, temporary

A ‘GOOD’ Secondary school in Accrington are seeking an English Teacher from January until the end of the academic year. Ideally, the school would like to recruit someone who has experience as a SENDco, or knowledge of SEND, however this isn't essential.

You will join a fast-paced and friendly team, who commit their teaching and resources to providing the best education and opportunities for their students. You will have the skills and knowledge to support and progress different types of learners, and to work cooperatively as part of a team. You will be dedicated, inspiring and creative, influencing students to excel thoroughly and actively take part in this subject.

Key Highlights

  • KS3/KS4 English Teacher up to GCSE
  • Previous experience teaching English required
  • Previous SENDco / SEND experience desired
  • Good behaviour and classroom management
  • Full-time role, initially until July 2024
  • Well-established Secondary school in the heart of Accrington
  • Monday – Friday: 8:30am-15:00pm

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
