Early Career Teacher (ECT) – Secondary Schools

Location: Bath & surrounding areas
Start Date: September 2026
Job Type: Full-time / Part-time opportunities available

We are currently seeking enthusiastic and motivated Early Career Teachers (ECTs) specialising in core subjects (English, Maths, or Science) who are looking to begin their teaching careers in September 2026. This role offers the opportunity to work across a variety of secondary schools in Bath and the surrounding areas.

This is an excellent opportunity for ECTs to gain valuable classroom experience, build confidence, and find the right school to support their long-term career goals.

The Role

  • Deliver engaging lessons within your subject specialism, following school curricula
  • Adapt to different classroom environments and school settings
  • Build strong relationships with students and staff
  • Develop your teaching practice with support from experienced professionals
  • Gain exposure to a variety of schools before committing to a permanent role

About You

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or currently completing your teacher training
  • Passion for teaching and a commitment to student development
  • Strong communication and organisation skills
  • Flexible, proactive, and willing to learn
  • A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is highly desirable, as this is an agency-based role involving work across multiple schools

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
