Early Years Teaching Assistant
Plymouth £92–£100 per day Full-Time / Part Time
Teaching Personnel are working closely with a welcoming primary school in Plymouth that is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their team from September.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young children at the start of their educational journey and helping them develop confidence, independence, and a love for learning.
The Role
- Supporting children within an EYFS classroom
- Delivering learning activities through play-based approaches
- Assisting with phonics, early literacy and numeracy development
- Supporting children's social, emotional, and communication skills
- Working closely with the class teacher and wider Early Years team
- Creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing learning environment
We Are Looking For
✅ Experience working with children in an Early Years setting
✅ A positive, patient, and caring approach
✅ Strong communication and teamwork skills
✅ Understanding of child development and the EYFS framework (desirable)
✅ Relevant childcare, education, or teaching assistant qualifications (desirable)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
