About the Role

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive mainstream primary school in Washington to recruit a passionate and experienced EYFS Teacher for a full-time Nursery class, supporting children aged 3–4 years (pre-Reception).

This is an immediate start opportunity for a committed Early Years professional who is enthusiastic about supporting children at a crucial stage of their development and confident delivering the EYFS framework within a school-based nursery setting.


Job Description

As the EYFS Teacher, you will take responsibility for planning, delivering and assessing engaging, play-based learning activities that support children’s early development. You will work closely with support staff, parents and the wider school team to provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment where every child can thrive.


Key Requirements for the Role

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
  • Proven experience teaching within EYFS, ideally in a Nursery or pre-Reception setting
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the EYFS Framework
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging, child-centred learning activities
  • Experience in observing, assessing and tracking pupil progress
  • A caring, patient and nurturing approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through Teaching Personnel)
