We’re recruiting enthusiastic and nurturing Early Years Specialists to work in schools and Early Years settings across Ammanford. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to secure a full-time role from September while making a lasting impact on children’s learning and development.
The Role
As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you’ll support children aged 3–5 within nursery and reception settings, helping to create a safe, engaging and stimulating learning environment.
Working alongside class teachers, you’ll encourage children’s social, emotional and educational development through play-based learning and structured activities.
We're Looking For
We’re seeking caring, patient and enthusiastic individuals with experience working with young children.
We’d love to hear from candidates with experience in:
Nursery or Early Years settings
Reception classes
Childcare
Preschool settings
Teaching Assistant roles
Childminding
Playgroups or holiday clubs
Family support or youth work
Supporting children with ALN or SEN
Voluntary work with children
Childcare qualifications are highly desirable
Qualifications such as Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare, Early Years Education, CACHE, NVQ, or Supporting Teaching and Learning are highly desirable, though strong practical experience with children is equally valued.

Requirements
- Experience working with children, ideally within an Early Years setting
- A nurturing, patient and positive approach
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
- Two professional references

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
