Trainee Drama Teacher – Outstanding Secondary School (Wigan)

Looking to Train as a Teacher?

Are you a Drama graduate or someone with a passion for performing arts looking to start a career in teaching?

We are working in partnership with an Outstanding secondary school in Wigan that is seeking an aspiring Drama Teacher to join their team and begin their journey into teaching.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience while receiving support and guidance towards teacher training.

The Role

  • Full-time position from September 2026
  • Support pupils across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Drama lessons
  • Work alongside experienced teachers and school leaders
  • Develop classroom management and lesson delivery skills
  • Opportunity to progress onto a salaried or supported teacher training route

Ideal Candidate

  • Degree in Drama, Performing Arts, Theatre Studies or a related subject
  • Passion for education and inspiring young people
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential
  • Committed to pursuing a career in teaching
