Drama Teacher – Sunderland Secondary School
Long-Term Supply, MPS/UPS £32,916 – £51,048, September 2026

Teaching Personnel is recruiting a Drama Teacher for a long-term supply position at a secondary school in Sunderland from September 2026. 

You'll be joining an established Arts department, delivering across KS3 and KS4 and contributing to the wider creative life of the school. Experience with school productions or extracurricular drama is looked upon favourably.

What you'll be doing:

  • Planning and delivering Drama lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Developing students' performance, devising, and analytical skills
  • Assessing progress and supporting students of all confidence levels
  • Maintaining high standards of classroom and studio management
  • Contributing to school productions and extracurricular drama where appropriate
  • Upholding the school's safeguarding responsibilities

To be considered:

  • QTS or equivalent
  • A degree in Drama, Theatre Studies, or a related performing arts discipline
  • Proven experience teaching Drama at secondary level
  • A genuine passion for the subject and its broader impact on young people
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
