Drama Teacher- Full Time- B8 Secondary School- ASAP start
Hours: Mon- Fri (term time only) 08:30-15:30
Rate of Pay: To Scale (MPS/UPS)
Start Date: ASAP (after Easter)
Are you a qualified teacher of Drama seeking a new exciting role?
The team at Teaching Personnel are in collaboration with an OFSTED graded "Good" school based in the B8 area of Birmingham to appoint an experienced and qualified Drama teacher to join the school on a full time basis.
The school prides itself on community, respect and self-belief.
Who are we looking for?
- Someone who holds a UK QTS for Drama
- Availability for a full time role
- Someone who is confident leading classes of up to 30 pupils and can display strong behaviour management skills
- Individuals with a competent understanding of the national curriculum for Drama
- Someone with a genuine passion for drama and creative arts, who is willing to engage all pupils with the subject
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging Drama lessons which involve all pupils
- Encourage active participation for pupils, catering to student's who may not be as confident
- Adapt lessons to suit individual needs within the class
- Follow the national curriculum for Drama when planning suitable lessons for years 7-13
- Collaborate with colleagues within the Drama/Art/Creative Arts department
- Contribute to extra curricular activities- parents evening, after school clubs, school trips etc
- Maintain a professional and confident approach to every day
- Be a role model within the class

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
