Drama Teacher – Cover Role
Location: Bath, Somerset
Contract: Cover role (with potential for a long-term placement)
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
The Opportunity
A welcoming and creative secondary school in Bath is seeking a passionate and adaptable Drama Teacher to join their Performing Arts department on a cover basis, starting as soon as possible.
This role is ideal for an ECT or experienced teacher who is available immediately and would like the opportunity for the position to develop into a long-term placement.
The Role
- Teaching Drama across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 may be available depending on experience)
- Delivering engaging, practical, and inclusive lessons that inspire creativity and confidence
- Supporting students with performance, devising, and theoretical work
- Maintaining a positive and safe learning environment
- Working collaboratively within the Performing Arts department
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is working towards it
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Drama and the performing arts
- Confident, flexible, and able to adapt quickly in a cover role
- Effective behaviour and classroom management skills
- Committed to encouraging student participation and achievement

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
