Job Title: Teacher of Digital Photography with Art
Location: Birmingham
Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term

About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Teacher of Digital Photography with Art to join our vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Birmingham. This is a full-time, long-term position, ideal for a passionate educator who can inspire students to explore visual storytelling, creative expression, and technical skills across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5).
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Digital Photography and Art, fostering creativity and technical proficiency
- Teach a broad curriculum including composition, editing, visual communication, and contemporary art practices
- Support students in developing portfolios and coursework for assessment
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages artistic exploration
- Contribute to the wider Art department, including exhibitions, trips, and enrichment activities
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school policies
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- A degree in Art, Photography, or a related field
- Experience teaching Art and/or Photography at secondary level
- Strong knowledge of digital photography tools, software (e.g. Adobe Photoshop), and studio techniques
- A passion for creative education and student development
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
