Location: Ashford & Staines, Surrey
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time (Permanent and Long-Term opportunities available)
Salary: £170–£250 per day (depending on experience and pay scale)

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with several welcoming secondary schools across the Ashford and Staines areas who are seeking passionate and dedicated Design & Technology Teachers to join their departments from September 2026.
Whether you're an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), we'd love to hear from you. Schools are looking for teachers with a passion for practical learning and the ability to deliver engaging lessons across the Design & Technology curriculum. Specialisms such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Textiles, Graphics or Engineering are all welcomed.
The Role
-
Teach Design & Technology to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students (Key Stage 5 opportunities available in some schools).

Plan and deliver engaging, practical lessons that inspire creativity and problem-solving.

Create a safe, inclusive and well-managed workshop/classroom environment.

Assess, monitor and support student progress.

Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to a thriving DT department.
The Ideal Candidate
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Experience teaching Design & Technology within a secondary school.

Strong subject knowledge across one or more DT specialisms.

Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.

Passionate about helping young people achieve their full potential.

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
