Design & Technology Teacher – Secondary

Contract: Full-time, long-term (potential for a permanent position)
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

A progressive and supportive secondary school in Yeovil is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Design & Technology Teacher to join their team from September. This opportunity is perfect for a creative and dedicated educator who thrives on delivering engaging, hands-on learning experiences.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Delivering Design & Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Planning and teaching dynamic lessons in specialisms such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, or Engineering
- Encouraging creativity, innovation, and independent thinking while maintaining high academic standards
- Supporting the continued development of the D&T curriculum within a well-established department
- Contributing to the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities

Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Strong understanding of the Design & Technology curriculum
- Ability to inspire, engage, and challenge students of all abilities
- A creative and practical approach to teaching
- An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one
