Design & Technology Teacher – Secondary – Weymouth
Start Date: After Easter 2026
Contract: Full‑time, long‑term (with potential to become permanent)
Salary: MPS/UPS (depending on experience)
Location: Weymouth, Dorset
A vibrant and supportive secondary school in Weymouth is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Design & Technology Teacher to join the team after the Easter break. This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic educator who enjoys bringing creativity and practical learning to life.
The Role
The appointed teacher will:
- Teach Design & Technology to students in Key Stages 3 and 4
- Deliver engaging lessons within areas such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, or Engineering — tailored to your strengths
- Encourage inventive thinking while maintaining strong academic expectations
- Contribute to shaping the curriculum within a well‑established department
- Play an active role in wider school life and enrichment activities

Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Solid understanding of the Design & Technology curriculum
- Ability to motivate and challenge learners of all abilities
- A practical, imaginative approach to teaching and learning
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
