About the Role:
Teaching Personnel is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Design & Technology Teacher to work across a range of secondary schools in South Yorkshire. This is an exciting opportunity for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to gain experience in different school settings or secure a long-term role.

You will be delivering engaging and practical lessons, inspiring students to develop creativity, problem-solving skills, and technical knowledge across various DT specialisms such as Resistant Materials, Product Design, Graphics, or Food Technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Design & Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable)
  • Teach practical and theory-based lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Ensure a safe and well-managed workshop/classroom environment
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
  • Differentiate lessons to support a range of abilities
  • Promote creativity, innovation, and independent learning

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Specialism in Design & Technology or a related subject
  • Experience teaching in a secondary school setting
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Knowledge of health and safety within a workshop environment
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
