Teaching Personnel is recruiting a Design & Technology Teacher for a long-term supply position at a secondary school in Durham, with an immediate start available. D&T is a subject area where strong, qualified teachers are consistently in demand, and this is a genuine opportunity to secure a long-term placement in a well-resourced, practical department.

The school is looking for a specialist who can deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons across KS3 and KS4, manage a practical workshop environment safely and confidently, and contribute to a department that takes the subject seriously as a discipline.

What you'll be doing:

• Planning and delivering D&T lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Teaching across a range of materials, processes, and design disciplines
• Managing a practical workshop environment to the highest safety standards
• Assessing student progress and supporting students of all abilities
• Contributing to departmental planning and whole-school events
• Upholding the school's safeguarding responsibilities

To be considered:

• QTS or equivalent
• A degree in Design & Technology, Product Design, Engineering, or a related discipline
• Proven experience teaching D&T at secondary level
• Confidence managing a practical workshop environment safely
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
