Teacher of Design & Technology (Including Food Technology)

Blackburn, Lancashire
Full-Time | November 2026 – July 2027
MPS/UPS (Dependent on Experience)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Design & Technology to join a welcoming and successful secondary school in Blackburn, Lancashire on a full-time basis from November 2026 until July 2027.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons within Design & Technology and Food Technology. The successful candidate will be committed to raising achievement, promoting creativity, and fostering a positive learning environment where all students can thrive.

The Role

  • Teach Design & Technology across KS3 and KS4.
  • Deliver Food Technology lessons as part of the timetable.
  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons.
  • Assess, monitor and report on student progress.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the department and school community.
  • Maintain high standards of classroom management and behaviour.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Has experience teaching Design & Technology within a secondary school setting.
  • Confident delivering Food Technology lessons.
