Day-to-Day Teaching Assistant – Primary & Secondary | South West London
Wimbledon, Merton, Kingston, Sutton & Surrounding Areas
Flexible, Short-Term & Day-to-Day Cover

Are you a reliable and adaptable Teaching Assistant looking for flexible day-to-day work supporting pupils across schools in South West London?

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a variety of primary and secondary schools who regularly require Teaching Assistants for short-notice and pre-booked daily cover, supporting pupils and teaching staff in the classroom.

This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy variety, flexibility, and working in different school environments.


About the Role

  • Supporting pupils in the classroom on a day-to-day basis

  • Working alongside teachers to help deliver lessons

  • Providing 1:1 or small-group support where required

  • Assisting with behaviour management and classroom routines

  • Opportunities across Wimbledon, Merton, Kingston, Sutton, Richmond, and surrounding areas

  • Day-to-day and short-term bookings available

  • Ideal for candidates open to early-morning calls for same-day work

  • Full-time and part-time flexibility


What We’re Looking For
✔️ Previous experience working with children or young people (school-based experience preferred)
✔️ A calm, supportive, and proactive approach
✔️ Flexibility and reliability, including availability for last-minute bookings
✔️ Ability to adapt quickly to new school settings
✔️ Strong communication and teamwork skills
✔️ Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
