Salary: Paid to Scale (MPS/UPS)

Teaching Personnel are proud to be working with a secondary school in Teesside to recruit an inspirational and committed Performing Arts Teacher for a role starting in September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative educator who is passionate about nurturing talent and confidence through the performing arts.

This is a full teaching role, with responsibility for planning, preparation, delivery and assessment, and would suit both experienced teachers and confident ECTs.


The Role

As a Performing Arts Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality Performing Arts lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum and school expectations
  • Inspire students’ creativity, self-expression and performance skills
  • Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities, rehearsals and productions
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support student progress and wellbeing

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Has experience teaching Performing Arts in a secondary school setting
  • Is confident in behaviour management and able to engage and motivate a range of learners
  • Is organised, proactive and committed to full teaching responsibilities, including marking and assessment
  • Has a genuine passion for the performing arts and for inspiring young people
