Location: South Bristol
Hours: Flexible / Full Time Available
Salary: £130 – £160 per day


About the Role

We are seeking a flexible, enthusiastic and dedicated Cover Teacher to work across primary schools in South Bristol.

This role is ideal for qualified teachers who enjoy variety in their working week and thrive in dynamic school environments. SEN/SEMH experience is desirable, though not essential. You will provide high‑quality classroom cover, ensuring continuity of learning when regular teachers are absent.


What You’ll Be Doing

As a Cover Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and effective pre‑planned lessons across a range of subjects and year groups
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive and well‑managed classroom environment
  • Adapt quickly to different school settings, routines and expectations
  • Promote positive behaviour and a respectful learning atmosphere
  • Inspire and motivate pupils to remain engaged with learning
  • Provide reliable and consistent classroom cover as required

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking candidates who have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Flexibility and confidence teaching across multiple subjects or year groups
  • Strong classroom‑management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • A positive, proactive and professional attitude
  • The ability to quickly build rapport with pupils and staff
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
