Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for an English Graduate to join their current English Department as a Teaching Assistant. This position will start immediately, this role will be full-time.
The salary for this role will be between £385 and £450 per week.
Our client school is looking for a recent English Graduate to assist their English Teachers as a Teaching Assistant. Through this position, you will be working with smaller groups of children or on a 1:1 basis, to support those pupils who struggle more than their peers. You will assist the teacher in their delivery of lessons and help to enforce good behavioural standards.
Key responsibilities:
- Monitoring the progress of students, being able to feedback to the teachers, students, and parents.
- You must be fully aware of all safeguarding procedures.
- You must build relationships with the pupils to ensure that you can effectively help them in their learning development.
- You must be able to ensure you are fully aware of all safeguarding procedures.
This school is located in Tameside, it is a mixed gender school and provides education to pupils between the ages of 11 and 16. Currently this school has an Ofsted rating of 3, this means that the school is requiring improvements. The proportion of pupils who are currently achieving a grade 5 or higher at GCSE is around half that of the national average. The school is in a disadvantaged area, the national average for students who are eligible for free school meals within a student population is 26.92%, however this school’s percentage is 43.88%. Currently 20% of this school’s students require additional SEN support, the national average is 11.92%.
