Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking passionate individuals with a subject specialism to work as a cover supervisor within schools in the Parkstone area. Whether you’ve previously been a teacher and are looking for a lighter approach or you have a degree and would like to get into teaching. This might be a great way to get your foot in the door into some great schools that lie within Poole. Teaching Personnel work within a range of Secondary schools within Poole and the surrounding areas, who are seeking specialist lesson cover and general cover on a day-to-day basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will have the opportunity to work with students of various ages and abilities, providing valuable support and guidance in the absence of regular teachers.
  • Engage and Inspire: Foster a positive learning environment, ensuring students remain on task and engaged with the lesson plans provided.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a safe and orderly classroom, managing student behaviour effectively.
  • Support Learning: Assist students with their studies, answering questions and offering help when needed.

Qualifications:

  • Unqualified teachers are encouraged to apply.
  • It is desirable to have a degree or further education qualification.
  • Safer in Education check will be required.
  • Must be a UK resident or have lived in the UK for over 2 years as part of our vetting requirements.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
