Cover Supervisor

Location: Liverpool
Contract: Flexible, Full‑time or Part‑time Options

Teaching Personnel are seeking confident, adaptable, and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work across a variety of secondary schools in Liverpool. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone passionate about supporting young people and gaining valuable classroom experience in a secondary environment.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre‑planned lessons across KS3–KS5 in a wide range of subjects. You don’t need formal teaching qualifications—just confidence, strong communication skills, and the ability to engage a classroom effectively.


What Your Role Will Involve

  • Delivering pre‑prepared lesson materials across different subjects and year groups (KS3–KS5)
  • Supervising classes during planned and unplanned teacher absences
  • Managing classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies
  • Supporting students of all abilities, ensuring work is completed and progress is maintained
  • Adapting your approach to meet differing learner needs
  • Providing feedback to teaching staff at the end of each lesson

This Role Would Suit Someone Who Is:

  • Confident, assertive, and comfortable leading a classroom
  • Adaptable and quick to build rapport with students
  • Interested in education, youth work, or teaching as a long‑term career
  • Reliable, professional, and committed to supporting young learners
  • Experienced in schools, youth settings, sports coaching, or similar environments (desired but not essential)

Requirements

  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Willingness to work across multiple subjects and year groups
  • Ability to manage behaviour positively
  • An enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
