Cover Supervisor
Job description
Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a Cover Supervisor on behalf of a welcoming and community‑focused secondary school located near Havant, Hampshire. Serving students aged 11–16, this inclusive and ambitious school is known for its strong pastoral ethos, supportive staff culture, and commitment to helping every young person achieve their potential. This secondary school is seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to start as soon as possible. The role can be offered on a full‑time or part‑time basis, working 35 hours per week, term time only. The successful candidate will supervise classes, small groups, or individual pupils using work set by teaching staff, ensuring continuity of learning in the teacher’s absence. In addition to classroom supervision, the role includes supporting departments with a range of administrative duties, contributing to the smooth and efficient running of the school.
The school is looking for someone who is confident, reliable, and enthusiastic about working with young people. The ideal candidate will be educated to GCSE level with strong skills in English and Maths and will be committed to upholding the ethos and values of the school. You should be a positive team player with a good sense of humour, able to use your initiative while remaining professional and discreet. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be working closely with both staff and students. The role requires someone who is organised, IT‑literate, and willing to undertake formal training. The ability to build positive relationships with colleagues, pupils, and parents is key to success in this position.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
