Job description

Cover Supervisor – Secondary School (Folkestone)

Location: Folkestone, Kent
Pay: £110 – £120 per day

Secondary schools in Folkestone are seeking enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to support learning continuity across a range of subjects.

This role suits individuals who are organised, proactive, and confident supervising pupils in a secondary school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise lessons across a variety of curriculum subjects

  • Maintain a calm, safe, and purposeful classroom environment

  • Support students with lesson tasks where appropriate

  • Manage low-level disruption and follow behaviour management procedures

  • Ensure all safeguarding and health & safety requirements are met

  • Liaise with teaching and pastoral staff as required

Requirements:

  • Experience working with young people aged 11–16

  • Good communication and organisational skills

  • Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom settings

  • Professional and reliable approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
