Cover Supervisor – Chesterfield
£90–£110 per day | Flexible Supply | Immediate Starts Available

Teaching Personnel’s Sheffield branch is recruiting confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across a number of supportive partner secondary schools in Chesterfield. If you’re looking to gain classroom experience, develop behaviour management skills, or take a step towards teacher training, this Cover Supervisor opportunity could be perfect for you.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will help ensure continuity of learning when teachers are absent. This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, sports coaches, youth workers, or experienced school support staff seeking flexible and rewarding work in education.

The Role of a Cover Supervisor:

  • Supervise whole classes during teacher absence across Key Stages 3 & 4

  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials as a Cover Supervisor

  • Manage classroom behaviour and keep students focused

  • Maintain a calm, positive, and structured learning environment

  • Provide feedback to teaching staff at the end of lessons

What We’re Looking For in a Cover Supervisor:

  • Experience working with young people in any setting

  • Confidence leading groups and managing behaviour

  • Strong communication and organisational skills

  • A flexible and proactive approach

  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
