Unqualified SEN Teaching – Cover Supervisor

Location: Bridgend, Mid Glamorgan
Pay: £110 - £120 per day
Job Type: Full-time or Part-time, Flexible
Start Date: September 2025 (ongoing throughout the academic year)

Do you have a passion for supporting young people with additional learning needs? Are you calm, patient, and confident leading a group? If you have experience in care, coaching, mentoring, or support work, you could thrive as a Cover Supervisor in SEN schools.

Teaching Personnel is looking for compassionate and adaptable cover supervisors to work in SEN schools across Bridgend. You do not need to be a qualified teacher – if you have the right skills, personality, and presence, we will support you to step into the role.

The Role:

Cover Supervisors are unqualified teachers who step in to deliver pre-prepared lessons in the absence of the class teacher. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervise small groups or whole classes in the absence of the teacher
• Deliver pre-prepared lessons tailored to pupils with additional needs
• Support pupils with Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, and physical or sensory impairments
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
• Work closely with teaching staff and support teams to ensure pupil safety and progress

This role is ideal for individuals with experience in:

• SEN support or care work
• Youth work or mentoring
• Psychology, social work, or therapy backgrounds
• Sports coaching or activity leadership
• Graduates with a passion for inclusive education
• Armed forces or cadet training
• Perfo+mring arts
• Personal experience supporting individuals with additional needs

If you’re calm under pressure, proactive, empathetic, and confident leading a group, you already have the foundation to succeed in this role.
