Position: Teacher (SEMH / PRU)

We are looking for a Teacher to work in SEMH/PRU schools within the Stockport area. Have you got what it takes to succeed?
The following information should be read carefully by all candidates. The ideal candidate will have their own vision for supporting children in non-mainstream settings and excel within a teaching role to help these students get the most out of their time in education.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, qualified, and highly motivated person to join one of our SEMH schools. The role of a PRU / SEMH Teacher provides a rare platform for creativity and innovative practice to be explored. Some of the behaviour at times can be challenging, we require the right character who is committed and patient to work with children who attend our settings.
The School
The role of a SEMH Teacher, requires someone who can stimulate pupils and progress them more than they might in many mainstream environments. Children can have additional needs such as social, emotional and mental health needs, communication difficulties and may struggle to build up relationships.
Requirements
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.
The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for the PRU / SEMH Teacher position are:
Have a desire to work with children with Special Education al Needs and or behavioural management needs
Have relevant experience of working in a similar environment
Have an enthusiastic and motivated attitude
Be willing to work/travel into Stockport
Due to the nature of this role and the start date of 1/11/2021 applicants must already hold an Enhanced DBS on the update service.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
