Computer Science Teacher – Sheffield

Contract: Full time / Long-term
Start Date: ASAP / September 2026
Salary: £140 - £240 per day (dependent on experience)
Teaching Personnel is seeking a fully qualified and enthusiastic Computer Science Teacher to work at one of our partner secondary schools in Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Computer Science Teacher to join a supportive department and inspire students in a forward-thinking school.

About the Role
As a Computer Science Teacher, you will:

Deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential Key Stage 5 teaching.

Plan, prepare, and assess work in line with the national curriculum.

Teach programming, algorithms, data representation, cyber security, and computer systems.
-
Monitor progress and provide clear feedback to support attainment.
-
Create a positive learning environment with high expectations for behaviour and achievement.
-
Contribute to departmental development and enrichment opportunities.
-
Fulfil safeguarding and wider professional responsibilities.
About You
We are looking for a Computer Science Teacher who:
-
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Or has PGCE or is an ECT.
-
Has experience teaching Computer Science at secondary level.
-
Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for technology.
-
Can manage behaviour effectively and engage learners of all abilities.
-
Is organised, proactive, and committed to professional development.
-
Holds, or is willing to apply for, an enhanced DBS check.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
