Computer Science Teacher – Middlesbrough Secondary School
Long-term supply/Potential Permanent contract | MPS/UPS (£32,916 – £51,048 per annum) | September 2026 start
Teaching Personnel is recruiting a Computer Science Teacher for a secondary school in Middlesbrough, with a September 2026 start date. This is a long-term supply position within a well-established department, suited to a specialist Computer Science Teacher who can deliver inspiring, well-structured lessons across KS3 and KS4.
The school is seeking a teacher with a genuine passion for Computing education — someone who can engage students of all abilities, nurture creativity, and contribute positively to the wider life of the department. Opportunities to support extracurricular Computer Science activities may also be available, depending on the needs of the school.
What you'll be doing:
- Planning and delivering lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Assessing and monitoring student progress in line with school policy
- Maintaining high standards of classroom management and student engagement
- Supporting extracurricular Computer Science provision where appropriate
- Upholding the school's commitment to safeguarding and student welfare
You'll need:
- QTS or equivalent
- A degree in Computing or a related discipline
- Experience teaching Computing at secondary level
- The ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
