Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative Computer Science Teacher to work across schools in Rochdale, starting in September 2025. This exciting opportunity allows you to bring your expertise in technology and digital literacy to a range of students in various secondary schools within the Rochdale area. As a Computer Science Teacher, you will inspire students to develop the skills they need for the future, while helping them engage with the rapidly evolving world of technology.

You will work in a supportive and dynamic environment, delivering high-quality lessons in Computer Science, programming, and digital skills. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach a variety of key stages and work alongside other like-minded professionals to shape a forward-thinking curriculum.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and relevant lessons in Computer Science across Key Stages 3 and 4.

  • Foster a love for coding, problem-solving, and computational thinking.

  • Help students develop essential skills such as programming, web development, and data management.

  • Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to support their academic growth.

  • Work collaboratively with other teachers to develop and share best practices.

  • Contribute to extracurricular activities, such as coding clubs or technology-related competitions.

  • Stay up-to-date with developments in technology and educational practices.

Requirements:

  • A strong passion for Computer Science and teaching the next generation of tech innovators.

  • A degree in Computer Science, ICT, or a related field.

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage students in a variety of tech-related topics.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
