September 2026 Start | Full-Time | Paid to Scale (£172.98+ per day)
Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a Year 2 Teacher to join a primary school in the Penarth area from September 2026 on an ongoing basis.

The Role
- Full teaching responsibility for a Year 2 class
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the Curriculum for Wales
- Monitoring pupil progress and adapting learning where required
- Working collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and the ALNCo
- Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
We're Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an Early Career Teacher (ECT/NQT)
- Strong classroom management skills
- A teacher who can build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
- Confidence in differentiating learning to support all abilities
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing

Requirements
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
- Registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) in Wales
Teaching Personnel can assist with both DBS and EWC applications if required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
