Class Teacher - Maternity Cover
Job description
Teaching Personnel are currently supporting the recruitment of a passionate and dedicated Class Teacher on behalf of a warm, vibrant and multicultural primary school in Slough.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed teacher to join a welcoming school community on a fixed-term maternity cover contract from September to December. The school is seeking a professional who has high expectations of themselves and their pupils and is passionate about making a positive impact on children’s learning and development.
The successful candidate will join a supportive and established team of practitioners within a school that values collaboration, inclusion and staff wellbeing.

The Role
The school is seeking to appoint a caring, motivated and inspirational Class Teacher who can create a positive and engaging learning environment where all pupils are encouraged to achieve their full potential.
The successful candidate will:
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning across the curriculum
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners
- Foster a safe, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
- Build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents
- Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
- Work collaboratively as part of a dedicated and supportive team
- Uphold high expectations for behaviour, achievement and wellbeing
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have experience teaching within a primary school setting
- Be proactive, positive, calm and adaptable
- Demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills
- Have high expectations of themselves and the children they teach
- Be committed to inclusion, teamwork and continuous professional development
- Show resilience, enthusiasm and a genuine passion for education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
