Job description

I am currently working with a Catholic Primary school based in the London Borough of Kingston who are looking for a full time TA to join their team. 

This is a 1:1 position will be working with an Autistic child in one of the schools Y2 classes, the child is non-verbal but has minor behavioural issues. The role involves pastoral care and general learning support, both in and outside of the classroom, as required. Full integration and inclusion in to the class environment is fully encouraged and supported. The ideal candidate will have recent experience working within a KS1 class and supporting children with Autism is highly desirable. Exposure to PECS and/or MAKATON will also come highly regarded and valuable, however this is not a requirement. This is a full time long term role starting in the new year, the school are keen to see people who are interested in this position within the next few weeks. 

This is a Catholic Primary school located in the London borough of Kingston and is easily accessible by public transport as it is within walking distance from train station, the school are fortunate enough to have on site parking as well. There are also several bus routes that run right past the school. This is an Ofsted rated ‘Good’ School with ‘Outstanding’ features and has a reputation for being a great work place. Experienced teachers offer outstanding support and development. The role will be ideal for someone who is looking to pursue a career in education and additional training will be provided.
