Business Studies Teacher (Maternity Cover)
Job description
We are seeking a dynamic and committed Teacher of Business Studies to join our successful department from May 2026 to cover a one-year maternity leave.
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher to deliver high-quality Business Studies lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5. The successful candidate will be passionate about developing students’ understanding of enterprise, finance, marketing, and the wider business environment, while driving strong academic outcomes.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

Experience teaching Business Studies at secondary level
-
Strong subject knowledge and understanding of current exam specifications
-
The ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities
Key Responsibilities
-
Plan and deliver engaging and challenging Business Studies lessons
-
Teach across KS4 (GCSE) and KS5 (A Level/BTEC where applicable)

Assess, monitor and track student progress to ensure high achievement

Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development

Maintain high standards of classroom management and student engagement

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
