Business Studies Teacher – Lancaster
Location: Lancaster
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time, minimum 6 weeks
Setting: Secondary School
We are currently recruiting for a Business Studies Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in the Lancaster area. This is a full-time position starting as soon as possible, initially for a minimum of six weeks, with the potential for the role to continue beyond this.
The successful teacher will be confident delivering engaging Business Studies lessons, maintaining high expectations in the classroom and supporting pupils to make strong academic progress.
The Role
As a Business Studies Teacher, you will be responsible for:
- Planning and delivering engaging Business Studies lessons in line with the curriculum
- Teaching pupils across the relevant secondary key stages
- Creating a positive, inclusive and well-managed learning environment
- Differentiating lessons to meet a range of abilities and learning needs
- Assessing pupil progress and providing constructive feedback
- Maintaining high standards of behaviour and engagement
- Working collaboratively with colleagues within the department and wider school
- Supporting pupils in developing their confidence, knowledge and understanding of Business Studies
The Ideal Candidate
We would love to hear from educators who:
- Hold QTS/QTLS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Have experience teaching Business Studies within a secondary school setting
- Have strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Are enthusiastic, reliable and passionate about helping young people succeed
- Can confidently step into an existing timetable and quickly build positive relationships with pupils
- Are available to start as soon as possible

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
