Business Studies Teacher – Sunderland Secondary School
Long-Term Supply, MPS/UPS £32,916 – £51,048, September 2026
Teaching Personnel is recruiting a Business Studies Teacher for a long-term supply position at a secondary school in Sunderland from September 2026. The department is looking for a specialist who can deliver confident, well-structured Business lessons across KS3 and KS4, with the ability to teach ICT alongside Business Studies being a significant advantage.
Candidates who can cover both subjects will be looked upon very favourably — schools increasingly value teachers who can contribute across related departments, and this role reflects that.
What you'll be doing:
- Planning and delivering Business Studies lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Teaching ICT where your subject knowledge allows
- Assessing student progress and adapting teaching to meet the needs of all learners
- Maintaining high classroom standards and student engagement
- Contributing to departmental planning and whole-school events
- Upholding the school's safeguarding responsibilities
To be considered:
- QTS or equivalent — essential
- A degree in Business, Economics, or a related discipline
- Proven experience teaching Business Studies at secondary level
- Ability to teach ICT is highly desirable
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
