About the Role
A thriving secondary school is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Business Studies Teacher to join its successful department. This is an excellent opportunity for either an experienced teacher or an ambitious ECT looking to develop their career in a supportive and well-resourced environment.
The successful candidate will inspire students across Key Stages 4 and 5, delivering engaging lessons that bring business concepts to life and equip students with valuable skills for further education and future employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality Business Studies lessons across KS4 and KS5.
- Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.
- Monitor, assess, and track student progress, providing timely feedback.
- Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations.
- Contribute to curriculum development and department initiatives.
- Support enrichment activities, enterprise projects, and careers-related learning.
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour, attendance, and achievement.
The Successful Candidate Will Have
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related subject.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Business Studies.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- A commitment to raising attainment and student outcomes.
- The ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
