EYFS Teacher – Maternity Cover

Location: BL1
Contract: September 2026 – May 2027 (Maternity Cover)
Hours: Full Time
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated EYFS Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in the BL1 area on a full-time maternity cover contract from September 2026 until May 2027.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Early Years practitioner to make a positive impact within a supportive school environment.

The Role

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the EYFS curriculum.
• Creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment where children can thrive.
• Assessing, monitoring, and supporting pupil progress.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
• Promoting high standards of teaching, learning, and behaviour.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Proven experience teaching within EYFS.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Framework.
• Confidence and experience in delivering phonics teaching.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• A commitment to providing high-quality learning experiences for all children.
