EYFS Teacher – Maternity Cover
Location: BL1
Contract: September 2026 – May 2027 (Maternity Cover)
Hours: Full Time
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated EYFS Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in the BL1 area on a full-time maternity cover contract from September 2026 until May 2027.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Early Years practitioner to make a positive impact within a supportive school environment.
The Role
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the EYFS curriculum.
- Creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment where children can thrive.
- Assessing, monitoring, and supporting pupil progress.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
- Promoting high standards of teaching, learning, and behaviour.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Proven experience teaching within EYFS.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Framework.
- Confidence and experience in delivering phonics teaching.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- A commitment to providing high-quality learning experiences for all children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
