Teaching Personnel are working with a Head Teacher who is looking for a Teaching Assistant to work with a secondary aged pupil on a 1:1 basis. The school is based in Plymouth and is a SEN school which caters for pupils with learning difficulties and complex needs who are no longer in mainstream education.

You will be working with a specific child and supporting their learning as well as working with the teacher to complete support plans and other documents. The role is to start in September 2021 and is full-time, term time only (Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm).

The successful candidate will have:

  • Be passionate and enthusiastic to work with pupils within the school and enhance their learning.
  • Must have experience of working with young people.
  • Experience of working within the education sector and with multi-agencies would be advantageous.
  • Will be proactive and eager to carry out responsibilities.

In order to work for Teaching Personnel and clear our vetting process, you must have a Child Workforce DBS subscribed to the Update Service. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
