Behaviour Support Officer
Location: Penarth
Hours: Fixed Term, Full-Time (working 35 hours a week) during term time only
Starting Daily Rate: £70 per day
Teaching Personnel work in partnership with a residential special school based in Penarth, which caters for pupils between the ages of 7 and 19, who have an emotional, social and behavioural difficulties and a range of associated needs. As a Teaching Assistant, you will also supervise lunches, some breaks and accompany pupils on school trips and activities.

You’ll be working 39 weeks per year on a term time only basis.
How will you make a difference / Job Description
- By supporting the teacher in the classroom to deliver lessons
- By meeting pupils as they come into school each day
- By helping with setting up the classroom
- By building relationships with pupils and their families to support their learning
- By assisting teachers with planning lessons and assessing pupils
- By supervising at lunchtimes
- By accompanying pupils on school trips and activities
The Successful Behaviour Teaching Assistant will:
- To be empathetic, tolerant and have a positive attitude
- Experience of working with children and young people with additional needs
- GCSE grade 4 or above in English and Maths or the equivalent
- Good computer literacy

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
