Behaviour Teaching Assistant
Job description
Ready to Make a Real Difference This September?
Forget the ordinary classroom role. This is your chance to be the person who changes a young person's day—and sometimes, their future.
We're looking for a Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join a supportive Alternative Provision in Burgess Hill this September. Every day is different, every success is earned, and every breakthrough matters.
This role is perfect if you:
⭐ Build positive relationships with young people who need someone to believe in them.
⭐ Stay calm under pressure and can see beyond challenging behaviour.
⭐ Are resilient, patient and have a great sense of humour.
⭐ Want a career that's rewarding, meaningful and never boring.
⭐ Have experience working with children or young people—or you're ready to transfer your skills from care, youth work, coaching, support work or similar backgrounds.
Your day could include:
- Supporting students both in and out of the classroom.
- Helping pupils regulate their emotions and engage with learning.
- Encouraging confidence, resilience and positive behaviour.
- Working alongside a fantastic, experienced team who genuinely care.
- Celebrating the small wins that lead to life-changing progress.
What you'll need:
A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle – this is essential due to the school's rural location.
Availability to start in September.
A positive attitude, resilience and a genuine passion for supporting young people.
In return you'll get:
✔ A rewarding role where no two days are the same.
✔ Ongoing training and development.
✔ A welcoming, supportive team.
✔ The opportunity to make a genuine impact on young people's lives.
Sometimes the biggest difference isn't made by a teacher—it's made by the person standing beside them. Could that be you?
