Permanent | Full Time | Term Time Only
Salary: £27,780 – £30,564 pro rata per annum

About the Role

Are you passionate about supporting children to achieve positive outcomes?

We are seeking an experienced, motivated and resilient Behaviour Support Worker to join a specialist behaviour support service working alongside mainstream primary settings. This role offers the opportunity to work within a highly skilled team that supports children, families and schools through early intervention and targeted behavioural support.

The service works collaboratively with education professionals and families to help children develop positive behaviour, improve engagement and access learning successfully.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct support for children who present with complex or challenging behaviours
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, schools and families to promote positive outcomes
• Apply de-escalation and co-regulation approaches confidently and appropriately
• Support the development and implementation of behaviour support strategies
• Respond effectively to changing situations and make informed decisions in the moment
• Model effective approaches and share strategies with school staff and other professionals
• Contribute to a safe, structured and inclusive environment for children

About You

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

• Experience supporting children with behavioural, social, emotional or additional needs
• High levels of resilience and confidence in managing complex situations
• Knowledge and understanding of behaviour support, de-escalation and co-regulation approaches
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work independently while also contributing positively within a team
• Initiative, adaptability and professional judgement
• A commitment to helping children achieve positive educational and personal outcomes

Desirable Experience
