About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to join a warm, nurturing and forward-thinking SEND provision in the Wareham area. #

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a setting known for its caring ethos, supportive staff team and commitment to helping every pupil thrive.

Primary work is available, with the chance to support pupils across a broad age range.

You will play a key role in promoting positive behaviour, building strong relationships and helping pupils access learning in a safe and structured environment. This is a full-time role with an immediate start.


What We Are Looking For

To be considered for this position, you will need:

  • A minimum of 6 months childcare experience, ideally supporting children with SEN

  • A calm, patient and resilient approach

  • The ability to build trust and rapport with pupils

  • A passion for helping children flourish both academically and emotionally

  • Reliability, professionalism and a genuine desire to make a difference


Key Responsibilities

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils

  • Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing

  • Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging learning activities

  • Supporting pupils in and out of the classroom

  • Helping create a safe, structured and inclusive environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
