Teaching Personnel are looking for a candidate to work as a Behavioural Support Assistant at a school in the Warrington borough. The pupils have found it hard to settlin in to mainstream provisions and school closures have had a significant impact on engagement levels, so it is vital that effective and engaging intervention is provided to guarantee a promising future for them in alternative provisions. Pupils are aged 11-16 with SEN, such as ASC, EBD and MLD.
This role is temporary, but with the possibility of becoming permanent if you settle into the job well.
Pay will start at £10.20 per hour, with working hours typically being from 8:30am to 3:30pm.
The successful candidate will possess:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience with SEN
- Behaviour management experience
- TeamTeach (desirable)
Main responsibilties would involve:
- Intervening when pupils' behaviour requires attention
- Engaging students to ensure they stay on track with the curriculum
- Reporting back to the relevant parties to promote a high standard of care
