Full-Time Behaviour Support Assistant – Wigan (WN6)

Do you have the resilience and confidence to support students with behavioural needs in a secondary school setting?
We’re recruiting for a Behaviour Support Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive secondary school in Wigan (WN6) on a full-time basis.
Role Highlights:
• Provide targeted support to students with behavioural, social, or emotional difficulties
• Work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and external agencies
• Help manage behaviour in and out of the classroom, encouraging positive choices
• Support students on a 1:1 or small group basis
• Be a key part of the school’s behaviour and inclusion strategy
Ideal for candidates who:
✅ Have experience working with young people (in schools, youth work, sports coaching, care, etc.)
✅ Are calm, patient, and consistent under pressure
✅ Are considering a future in teaching, youth work, or psychology
✅ Want to be part of a team that makes a meaningful difference every day
Location: Wigan, WN6
Full-time, Monday–Friday (term time)
September start (or sooner for the right candidate)
Competitive daily rate (based on experience)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
